The Hospital Activity Statistics website is split into five main sections.
At the top and bottom of every page there are a set of links to each of these main sections.
To return to the home page or any of the 5 main sections just click on one of these links.
To help you use this site to its full potential, here is a brief description of each of the main sections.

About Data
|
This section contains a brief introduction to the different statistics that are provided on the website.
For those people who are comfortable with the paper publications that accompany this website there is also a guide to how each of the publications relates to the tables on the website.
If after reading these guides you still have questions then you can contact the Hospital Activity team (the email and helpline is listed at the bottom of every page).

Statistics
|
This is the biggest and most important section of the site as it contains the available statistics for online viewing.
This section is sub divided by financial year. The statistics for each year are made available by NHS Trust, Regional Office area and England.
If you are not familiar with the statistics then it may be best to start with the About Data section to find out more about the data that is made available.

Time Series/Analysis
|
This section provides time series data and graphs/charts for selected statistics. These aim to provide a greater understanding of the statistics and to show the changes in hospital activity that have taken place over time.

Data Requests
|
This section provides a collection of downloadable files. These files contain the raw data that is made available on this site and provide commonly requested files.
If you cannot find what you are looking for then you can also make a data request by contacting the Hospital Activity team. Full contact details are made available in the 'Data requests' section.
