Paper Publication: Bed availability and occupancy (KH03) |
|
This annual publication presents data collected from NHS Trusts for 1999-00 on the average daily number of available and occupied beds, day case beds, NHS residential care beds and numbers of intensive care beds/cots for children and babies. It also provides information on supporting facilities available in the NHS Trust such as A&E, radiology and pathology departments and numbers of operating theatres. Contents of book Table 1 provides an England summary of available and occupied beds by broad ward classification and sector, Table 2 provides the equivalent at regional office level while Table 3 provides the equivalent figures at NHS Trust level. Table 4 provides a ten year time series at sector level for England and regional office areas while Table 5 provides a three year time series by ward classification and sector for England. Table 6 provides a three year time series for England, regional office area and NHS Trusts of the average daily number of available beds on wards open during the day only. Table 7 provides a three year time series for England, regional office area and NHS Trusts of the average daily number of available beds for NHS residential care. Table 8 provides a count of neonatal intensive care cots and paediatric intensive care beds available at 31 March. Table 9 provides the number of operating theatres and availability of supporting facilities such as A&E, pathology and radiology departments for England, regional offices areas and NHS Trusts. Table 6 forms the basis of the data in the Day Only Beds table on this site. Table 7 forms the basis of the data in the Residential Care Beds table on this site. Table 8 forms part of the data in the Critical Care Beds table on this site. Table 9 forms part of the data in the Supporting Facilities table on this site. |
