The proportion of children who have been immunised by their second birthday against diphtheria, tetanus and polio in 2001-02 was 94%, slightly below the peak uptake of 95.7% in 1996-97.
Uptake of immunisation against pertussis and of immunisation against haemophilus influenzae b was 93% in 2001-02.
