Nursing, midwifery and health visiting staff exclude learners and agency.

Medical and dental staff excludes locums.

Other direct care staff includes scientific, therapeutic and technical staff, nursing, midwifery and health visiting learners and health care assistants.

Other non direct care staff includes ambulance staff and other support staff.

Figures should be treated with caution as they are based upon organisations reporting 90% or more valid ethnic codes for non-medical staff.

These figures fall outside the scope of National Statistics.
