Grounds as listed in Schedule 2 of the Abortion Regulations, 1968 (as amended by the Human Fertilisation & Embryology Act 1990) -

A  Risk to life of woman.

B  To prevent grave permanent injury to physical or mental health of woman.

C  Risk of injury to physical or mental health of woman (pregnancy has not exceeded its 24th week).

D  Risk of injury to physical or mental health of existing child(ren) (pregnancy has not exceeded its 24th week).

E  Substantial risk of child being born seriously handicapped.

F  In emergency - to save life of woman.

G  In emergency - to prevent grave injury to physical or mental health of woman.
